Real History Magazine
This free magazine was created to give secondary school students a fresh look at history. It covers topics rarely taught in history class, or looks at commonly taught topics from new angles. It aims to cover history from around the world, with an emphasis on lesser studied perspectives, as well as esoteric and emotive topics, while explaining how this history affects our world today.
It is hoped it will encourage students to discover fascinating areas of history outside of the classroom, and to think like a historian, questioning commonly held beliefs, taking new ideas into consideration, and arriving at conclusions that may go against the grain.
The articles were written by twenty fantastic historians from around the UK, who are passionate about providing students with fresh and interesting historical perspectives.
I hope you enjoy reading.
